Galmstrup were commissioned to provide a concept design and strategic plan for the transformation. Our proposal suggests the museum as the new ‘waiting room’ for a spread town and opening up the archaeological workshop and main galleries to a wider audience. We explored retrofit and circulation options and proposed a new extension acting as the ‘waiting room’ on the inside and billboard for commuters on the outside.
